  5. Schedule, record and assist as needed with physical examinations for all players.
  6. Account for the collection of all fees.
  7. Instruct and assist players in the prevention and care of injuries.
  8. Accountable for all players meeting necessary requirements pertaining to insurance, physical cards, eligibility forms and athletic waivers.
  9. Attend rules interpretation meetings.
  10. Assist in the preparation of facilities for all games and practice sessions.
  11. Schedule, plan and conduct all practice sessions and scrimmages.
  12. Accountable for player behavior during practice sessions, meetings, locker room activities, bus trips and other activities under the support of the program.
  13. Schedule and conduct meetings to discuss forthcoming opponents.

  15. Delegate specific duties, supervise implementation and, at season’s end, analyze staff effectiveness and evaluate all assistant coaches.

Defense Coach

Perrysburg Boys Lacrosse is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable defensive Lacrosse Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defensive strategy, player development, and leadership, helping student-athletes achieve excellence both on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and teach defensive schemes, concepts, and individual position techniques.
  • Create practice plans and drills focused on defensive fundamentals, communication, and transition play.
  • Analyze game film and provide constructive feedback to players.
  • Support the Head Coach with overall team strategy, game planning, and player evaluation.
  • Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among all athletes.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff in alignment with school values and program expectations.
  • Ensure all players meet academic and behavioral standards required for athletic eligibility.
  • Assist with offseason workouts, clinics, and player development opportunities as available.
 

Qualifications:

  • Prior coaching experience in lacrosse (high school, club, or collegiate level preferred).
  • Strong understanding of defensive principles, team concepts, and player development.
  • Ability to teach fundamentals, communicate clearly, and motivate young athletes.
  • Positive leadership style with an emphasis on teamwork, accountability, and growth.
Goalie Coach

Perrysburg Boys Lacrosse is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Goalie Coach to join our staff. This position is responsible for developing goalkeepers at all levels of the program, focusing on technical skill, game awareness, and confidence between the pipes.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of goalie fundamentals, leadership, and communication, and is passionate about mentoring student-athletes on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan and conduct specialized goalie training sessions during practices and off-season workouts.
  • Teach proper stance, positioning, clearing, communication, and situational awareness.
  • Develop individualized improvement plans for each goalie, emphasizing growth and consistency.
  • Provide in-game support and feedback to goalies and defensive staff.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator to align goalie play with team defensive systems.
  • Assist with video review, player evaluation, and recruiting within the school community.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic responsibility among players.
  • Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic policies.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience playing or coaching the goalie position (high school, club, or collegiate level preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of goalie mechanics and defensive communication.
